There is so little data on the claimed correlation between between nurse-to-patient staffing levels and patient outcomes that we need to spend $250k to look at it some more? Dozens of studies have been performed, with no clear consensus.

been dragging his feet getting this to trial, particularly in federal court, where cases normally move ahead much faster than in Minnesota district court. Then again, maybe he doesn't really want it to get there.

As a tutor in a St. Paul middle school, I see evidence of systemic failures every week, whether they be students who've never mastered basic arithmetic skills struggling to learn algebra and geometry, students being subjected to intensive, weeks long teaching to thetests as it comes time for MAP and MCA testing, or students to whom no one has ever spoken about such fundamentals as the importance of completing work on time or...
