Posted on 03/27/12 at 04:46 pm in response to Two provocative questions about health care law and Supreme Court case

Fact is that even Romneycare would fail at the federal level. Romney got it passed in his state because it's at the state level. The state; within reason can do things a bit more drastic than the feds can. I see the "question" raised as simply anger and anguish about the GOP getting in and taking your socialism candy away from you. That constitution at it's most fundamental level cannot force me to go buy Broccoli or anything; comrade'

No; the commerce clause does not need to be...

Posted on 03/25/12 at 06:43 am in response to Senate approval clears way for Voter ID constitutional amendment

I have not see any valid argument from anyone here or elsewhere in relation to NOT requiring ID in which to vote.
There is ONLY one reason someone does not like showing an ID and that is to cheat. I don't care if you are democrat or republican or what ever, showing an ID is proper.
I still have a problem though. Showing an ID is one thing. Having someone validate that with a list; ie they were 'expecting' you to appear (valid voting registration), and checking you off a list....

Posted on 12/15/11 at 04:28 pm in response to What you might not know about the Bill of Rights

Without doing some checking; I read a couple things that were concerning. I suspect this is like a lot of liberal leaning democrats who believe in ever expansive government and ultimately control over the people under that government which then negates the constitution as it is written. I get a kick out of folks who would like to go back and try to negate or remove that constitution. We have one in the White house and executive branches now. Most folks know that the 2nd amendment is the "...

How dare you over ride King Dayton.

Posted on 12/08/11 at 04:52 pm in response to What it's like being a scientist in the GOP-led Legislature

Being a scientist is one thing.

Furthering your career is another.

We've already discovered many of these so-called scientists who backed Al Gore were all on the take anyway and their data was largely made up to represent that. Then; they got busted.

The truth will always come out in the end.

The real scientists are making positive advances for humanity and the environment.

What are they going to do when the Euro tanks out and becomes worthless???

Posted on 11/27/11 at 10:15 am in response to WCCO-TV's first public note on 'duck/dog' controversy adds no new detail

Because WCCO has largely departed from what it once was back in the 70's and 80's; I have stopped looking at much of anything on there. The news has been completely banned in my house along with WCCO radio which also tends to follow; unlike the way they used to operate.

I have no (zero) confidence in anything from the major media markets; aka CBS, ABC, and NBC because their bias and outright "storytelling" have been on note on numerous occasions and simply chalked up to errant...

Whenever I see something like the opening to this article of "pixie dust"; I'm thinking someone staunchly biased before they even started.

In my read of this, I was not disappointed in that position.

Posted on 11/16/11 at 03:23 pm in response to Spanking doesn’t work -- so why do so many parents continue to use it?

In your opinion!!!!

Fact is that it DOES work and well.... If applied correctly. You liberals who think you know everything, really don't have a clue. You assume so much; based on your own kind... Fellow liberals who were raised to blame everyone else for things you do... etc.

I got spankings growing up as did my brothers and sisters. And you know what??? Why am I so normal, and liberals not??? Interesting perspective... but then again. Liberals will just blame me as being the...
