Posted on 11/16/11 at 03:18 pm in response to Gov. Dayton calls for day-care provider union vote

Does anyone here even become concerned when Dayton even attempts this? Why is a politician; a sitting governor attempt to force a unionization vote in a private sector business???

Do you really believe this is within his scope of law to do???
Please; if you say yes, I need you to cite the authority.

Posted on 11/16/11 at 03:44 pm in response to Jason Lewis' wrong and exaggerated arguments about freedom

Wow...

Clearly written by someone who believes as gospel truth, and has read the writings of Karl Marx along with others relevant to communism and the rewards of liberalism.

You spend a lot of time poking Jason and trying to knock him off his stool, but have failed to do so. No tangible citing here. No references to constitutional law provided that I can see. I see hypothesis and speculation based on desire, but interpretation can be folded, spindled and mutilated by anyone....

Cyndy!!!

Interesting read and some points I was not aware of. I do hope Emmer runs again. The liberal machine has largely damaged anyone who staunchly plants themselves as democrat any longer and have a sneaky suspicion the 2012 cycle is going to be a mad house.

Keep up the good work girl!

I realize that private sector can unionize. No problem with that at all. But civil service should not. The teachers union should either be abolished, or the teaching profession and management of the schools go back to private sector. That way they earn their money just like everyone else... the hard way. They'll have to work for it.

Oh; and then to see these same unionized public sector workers like over in St. Paul and Minneapolis who go doing all kinds of foolish things while on the...

Ok; here comes my two cents.

I'm all for this. Yes, you need to abolish and forbid unionization in civil sector employment. This one issue on it's own is a very large reason for the unusually high taxes and such that we're all paying. These jobs need to be just like any other except many of them can be farmed out to private sector. Then let the private sector deal with it.

We already know that at it's very very minimum, 50% of those teachers there are failing teachers there...

I like some of the comments I've heard and seen on this topic. It's not really about how faith community (aka; churches). It's about how can a select group of people control those faith communities to dictate who gets help and who doesn't. But this is typical of communism and socialism. They have that issue in China.

We're quickly returning to a period of time where in the 30's and 40's, you had people who preferred to live "on the road" and have no formal residence. People who...

Posted on 01/18/11 at 03:42 pm in response to Republican bill in state Senate would freeze school wages

I suspect that since there is a lot of pro-union people on here, they won't like this.

Too bad. Sorry for you. You will now need to learn to live within your means just like the rest of us.

I'll go one more step. I think a law should be brought to make it illegal for government workers to enter into any collective bargaining positions. Union jobs should be private sector. The people should not be held over a fire for such as this. Private industry will succeed or fail based on...

Posted on 01/18/11 at 03:53 pm in response to Pawlenty and Obama and their deficit games

There is absolutely no question about the problem of both parties have been party to the status quo and all regarding the year to year deficits and spending and all that goes with it. Nobody has come forth with enough tenacity or "balls" so to speak to tell people the truth. You cannot continue this way.

We might be finally headed in a direction that I believe everyone might take a liking to. Government getting smaller. We have too many programs that government now has that really...

This is good. Republican, Democrat, Independent, Green Party; Chartreuse Party, what ever... This is a good thing.

Get your butts out there before those that put you in office. Do not let the ramblings of a crazed kid scare you off. Do not especially let the ramblings of some very liberal progressive people tell you to be scared because it's the other party's out to get your goat. This is a bunch of whoee..

I'm glad to see everyone continuing as usual. Now; get back to work!...

I'm personally waiting to see how many liberal progressive republicans we have currently in office will jump and try to restrict firearms now. This whole mess is being played up so bad by the left leaning progressives that its just getting ridiculous. That sheriff alone is demonstrating how much a real piece of work he is!!!
It's time for people to put their heads back on straight.
