MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
My kid and I can now ride our bikes from Eden Prairie to a Twins Game at Target Stadium. The emotion of the prospect of sharing with my son the outdoor experiences I had with Mantle, Ford, Killebrew and Pascual outdoors at Met Stadium has crippled my ability to meainingful get a grip on what's in store for us. Mr. Weiner has done that. Thank you sir.
Readers may enjoy revisiting a comedy video that I crafted for KTCA-TV just after the Dome opened.

Democratic Visions, the DFL Senate District 42 public issues program, has posted interviews with most of the DFL gubernatorial candidates on its YouTube Channel. You may be interested in viewing Tom Rukavina's discussion with host Tim O'Brien by following this link:

I'm delighted to read that Senator Bonoff and Representative Mariani are sponsoring bills to adjust teacher licensure to enable Minnesota students to benefit from programs like Teach for America.

The blue bird of happiness always lands on my shoulder with "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" by Allie Wruble and Ray Gilbert. Introduced in 1946 most happily by actor James Baskett and animated butterflies, bridies and critters in the Disney movie "Song of the South," it won a best song Oscar. We all know that scores of cover versions have been recorded but I love Eddie Fisher'a version almost as much as Mr. Basket's original.
The Shakopee Valley News is part of a superb, small chain of suburban/exurban weeklies (operated by Southwest Publishing) including the Eden Prairie News, Chanhassen Villager, Chaska Herald, Savage Pacer and others. Fine writers like Kristin Holtz
are not uncommon out here in the southwest burbs. As an Eden Prairian and reader of them, its great that The Daily Glean focused its spotlight on one of them.
My website link should take you to the Democratic Visions interview with Janet Reober and Two Putt Tommy Johnson of KTNF AM950 radio.
Regards.
Janet Robert and KTNF radio personality Tommy "Two Putt" Johnson can be seen on YouTube's Democratic Visions Channel. Democratic Visions is the cable and internet program I produce for DFL Senate District 42 (Eden Prairie & Minnetonka).
Robert does not hold her opinions back when it comes to local talk radio.
Here's the link to the segment with Robert and Johnson:

Thank you.
For your consideration this weekend:
Tony Bennet: "What Are You Afraid of," (Art of Excellence album); Anita Morris: "A Letter from the Vatican" (Cast Album, Nine - hot Broadway kitsch); Akkiko: "Love Theme from Spartacus" (find it on YouTube). Pussycat Dolls: "Sway" (Shall We Dance sound track, U.S.A.)
Doug Grow and his readers and commentors have always proven themselves not a few notches above their MinnPost colleagues. In this instance, sadly, they are enthusiastic about weighing the odds of a political horse race rather than real world problems. Such pundrity equates to mixing and serving cocktails to barflys.
Mr. Klobuchar is the Brett Favre of sports writters. We're lucky that both call Minnesota home this football season.
