I want to thank all of the anti-stadium posters over the past few months. While it worries me that people can be so utterly joyless, I have gotten quite a few good laughs out of the comments on these pages. The Rybak drinking in the office post was priceless. Thanks again.
By reading the ongoing stadium comments, it would suggest that Minnpost attracts quite a few bitter, cynical kill-joys. I, for one, am going to enjoy the new stadium as I have enjoyed Target Field. Downtown Minneapolis will benefit from it. People need to lighten up a bit.
While I agree that the public seems to be against funding a new stadium through taxes (they always are), it is also true that most folks do not want to see the Vikings move out of state.
If you want to know where politians are truly ignoring the public, it is on the issue of funding a Vikings stadium through gambling. Time and time again, polls have shown that a majority of the public supports funding a stadium with gambling revenue. This option has been always shot down by the...
