Bachmann is admittedly a force creating action.

Thankfully science has taught us ala Newton that for every action there is a re-action.

Like a black hole, she sucks in all around her, but in the end the horizon line yields no light. Her politics are darkness incarnate and my advice is keep your distance from her.

I'm not in the health care industry but given my limited visits to a local physician the real cost is driven up by the third party not in the exam room, the insurance industry.

It takes 60 days for the physician to get his payment, these are routing blood work ups and examinations. How can it possibly take 60 days for the insurance industry to validate the paperwork and drive the cost up?

From my admittedly limited experience, I hold the physician harmless and the insurance...

At best President Obama will enter the 2012 election cycle as the lesser of two evils. He has chosen to sustain tax breaks, to sustain war and pander to the media instead of the American populace.

Posted on 06/17/11 at 07:41 am in response to GOP offers $200M for budget, but Dayton not impressed

It absolutely baffles me why the wealthy pay taxes at a lower percentage rate than the middle class.

How on earth does having wealth entitle a lower tax rate?

And why does the GOP defend this under the claim of fiscal conservatism?

Jeff Wilfahrt, Rosemount, MN

Good on ya' Emmer. About time we see someone stand up from the GOP and be decent about this after the urgency to produce didn't translate to an urgency to pay.

This Sutton is a man of questionable repute.

Should Michele win the election and become president, divest yourself of all foreign investment in Islamic countries and buy into Niger uranium mining early on.

Given her religious zealotry, she will in all likelihood push the button. This is one dangerous animal this Bachmann. She will certainly enhance the job creators of the industrial military complex however... with a smaller government of course.

We have $2billion borrowed dollars to spend each week on the Afghanistan conflict, but just no money to aid people against an "act of god". Is it just me or is there something askew here?

Education seems to be in America the only commodity of which the customer tries to get as little he can for his money.

Mr. Shelby, I think you have lent great credence to this quotation.

Posted on 06/17/11 at 10:15 am in response to Basilica Block Party DJ Brian Turner says boycott not the answer

As can be found on the FB page for the Basilica boycott, I believe this is ultimately about citizenship. The church derives the right to marry from the state, not the other way around. Marriage is a legal construct.

Brian Turner too is a citizen and has chosen his position. Good for him in exercising his right. Jason also exercised his citizen rights and good for him.

I hasten to add, that the church expects a tithe of 10% from it's parishioners, yet seems to find a 5% level...
