I hope Abeler is ready to deal with his district when the schools start crumbling like the bridges were crumbling. Just as much as they were willing to support him when he did the right things about roads, the'll be as brutal in reverse if Anoka-Hennepin starts a mass teacher layoff.

She may have slipped one by for now, but considering Frank is one of the sharpest wits in the House and Bachmann doesn't even know elementary history, this won't be a fair fight. It will, however, give Bachmann a soapbox on which to rail against ACORN to every right-wing, wacko media outlet in the county.

In voting against this bill Kline and Bachmann have essentially announced to the world that they are totally out of contact with the rest of humanity.

I'll take the under and a unanimous court against Coleman's arguments. First, the equal protection clause is the 5-gallon bucket of lost legal causes. When you have nothing else to go on, that's what they drag out. It was intended to protect the weak and the vulnerable from the powerful. That is not the case and it is, to say the least, a stretch in Coleman's case. Second, the Supreme Court doesn't deal with minutiae and that's what Coleman's case is based on – millions of votes cast but we...

The two hard-core Republicans don't like Obama. Four other people, who actually do something for a living, think he's fine. Republicans are just not learning. They are acting like they won the last election.

Question for Jay: Did you actually have to go to the Republican Party to find two people who think that Obama has done a bad job considering he inherited the country from the worst president in American history?

To Ron Gotzman:

Getting arrested by a corrupt and evil empire is just a bit short of winning a humanitarian award.

I'm as frustrated as the next guy about the recount. However, if this doesn't go at a cautious pace, Republicans in this state will be bellyaching about this for years after I'm dead. By doing this slow and methodical, it will essentially shut up the principle Republican whiners.

Great story about important changes that most people don't care about and few journalists write about. It's tghe kind of wonky story most reporters avoid for fear it will get buried on the page after obituaries.

But moving the primary out of September is critical. Two months is just not enough time to mount an effective campaign.

If the Franken-Coleman recount initiate these changes the whole mess will have been worth while.

This is a great explanation of the real purpose of the Equal Protection clause and shows how utterly unlikely the Supreme Court – Minnesota or U.S. – will use it allow improperly cast ballots to be counted just to give a reasonably well-off lawyer from Minnesota his job back in the Millionaire's club.

Bachmann is such an embarrassment to the state that some Democrats are now hoping we lose a congressional seat so Bachmann's district can essentially be eliminated. Normally neither party likes the idea of a state losing a district, but if it means the end of Bachmann, I know a lot of people who would meet its loss with a big smile.

If we do lose a congressional seat and the Democrats can take over the Governor's office, you know they will take it out on one of the three Republicans...
