Nice piece, Max. As someone who's read a chunk of the original series and is caught up on the show, I've been thinking about how different the "survivor dynamic" is on the show. The show feels so much safer than the comic, and not just because there's no way some of the events in the comic will ever be filmed. The very structure of the show makes it safer, and Shane is the perfect example. He's far too complex and interesting a character to be killed off, and thus we know he'll come out of...
