MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
I've got a Tea Party neighbor out in western WI (actually, I've got lots of them, but only one that I can have a decent conversation with) with his I Support Walker sign still out from the summer, his Drain the Swamp Paul sign and his signs for the Madison races, but no Tommy Thompson or Romney. He said he's going to leave those lines blank before he'd support them. He'll get some votes but no enthusiasm. It's religious and it class-based.
My favorite Brother Jed and Sister Cindy story is from about 1983 (and maybe it was just Jed). Someone interrupted them to ask "what do you think about oral sex?" Jed, after a bit of a pause: "Would you eat pizza with your nose?"
Subsidies have nothing to do with the increases; in fact its just the opposite. I put myself through the U in the early 80's getting 2 degrees in 7 years working in liquor stores and getting about $3k in loans and no financial aid. It was heavily subsidized at that point; the state's U appropriation was much larger than it is now in constant dollars. The subsidy kept tuition low and allowed someone to get a degree with no outside resources. It would be impossible for me to do this in...
I'm not sure Eastwood's chat was written out beforehand.
cherry-pick the best students and not mess around with disabled or mentally challenged. Biggest difference between charters and publics is that a public school accepts everyone who lands on their step.
Now what does "maximize the opportunity to offer proactive information on health and lifestyle" mean? It's an icebreaker? Speak English, please.
Now why would a CA investment company think T Paw could help steer the company? A career politician whose only jobs outside of government were make-work law positions lobbying the government he just came from? Pure and simple buying influence, is what it is. He's no reformer; he's as deep into the system as anyone could be.
More sports, please.
It's been a while, so refresh my memory, please. How many cops went to trial for their illegal actions?
"Deeply penetrated"? Really now. A congresswoman's life is a lonely existence.
