MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
Did you see how Slate picked up your story but referred to you as the "Minnesota Post"? No respect.

I thought the Repubs wanted people to have more money?
Their offense is scary, but old. Maybe there will be some chilly nights that slow them down.
Also, love how MPR somehow doesn't remember to note that you publish on MinnPost when they have you on w/Wurzer. Probably just a mistake.
Thank you, Max. It gets difficult to go through the comments when they get laden with boilerplate and just-plain-unfactual tripe. I go here because its NOT the Strib, but some days the comment listing looks a lot like it.
My understanding is that this was a land-line only poll. I couldn't find any explanation of if they tried or how they tried to weight for cells. If they didn't, its got to be horribly over-representative of traditional, older households.
Cut their pay? I thought the Repubs wanted people to have more money?
Mr. Swift - It appears you overlooked how the quote mentions that it was pre-2006 management that was so disastrous. That was a crappy company and probably would have gone under in 2009 if it had that same management. I remember buying Ford Preferred for $1.76 in 05 and it goes for $24.50 now. But confusing eras and who-said-what in order to make a point seems to be easy for some.
I looked at buying a Ranger a few years back and wasn't impressed. The price then was almost as much...
The links worked fine for me.
I went back and reread Mr. Sparber's comment and did not find a reference to the "European race". One sentence speaks of racism, and the next about European descent, but its unfair (and a poor argument) to accuse him of speaking of "European racism".
I winced when I saw that angle in the PP also. I don't think it takes a lot of thinking to see through the arguement. If the writers were looking for drama and conflict they could have used the region vs. region angle, which is pretty good proxy for time-that-ballot-is-counted.
Not the most important issue affecting my life, but good news. I still get the PP delivered here in western WI, mostly for the sports, comics, and crosswords. There's almost no WI news anymore that wasn't already in the locals and the A section is very MN-centered (I understand you guys are having an election?). On Mondays and Tuesdays when both Shooter and Sansevere aren't writing, the sports section drops to 6 pages with 2 of them being weather and scoreboard recaps.
