Well I suppose Katherine Kersten might care !
Know when to fold and know wehn to hold ? I don't know how a American public can be lead that votes with the Repubs but at the same time supports Dem positions, ie the mentioned CBS poll.
Boy retired teacher vs ann entrire trhink tank ? What a way to characterize David v, Go.. well you know the rest. The piece in the strib 11/29 :

If only I had the resources like that of Dr Canada and the support like that of The Finish government and the schedule and class load of their teachers.
So the strib does a three week Suday filled paperpalooza on the three candidates. So how many column inches on Horner as opposed to the others ? The third Sunday it's going to be Dayton's turn for the spotlight and what do they do but endorse Horner ? Humm ? Headline reading Born to Run and inside a poorly written defense of the endorsement. Born to Run intimating he's only worth his inheritence. The 500 million spent in this election by the forces being protected by Citzens case is the real...
Okay bring in LGA ! All right I will. This policy was instituted to help balance out the losses of vast, look at them closely when you drive through folks, of city centers that were torn asunder for highways to city center from the suburbs and outward. As to no tolls here but another more creative policy to adjust imbalance. Oh tolls would be a form of social engineering would they not ? The entire city of Minneapolis will have one yes one high school hockey team people. Anyone curious...
One has to wonder that the lack of investment into jobs by by businesses with historic profits is not a calculated action. Collution is always difficult to uncover but the huge investment of dollars into this years political campaign under the cover of the Citizens United decision certainly look like if it walks like a duck. Doesn't that call for some sort of investigation ? Oh yea unions can compete dollar for dollar with corporations. Let's be honest here. No disclaimers needed. Checkout...
Target Field/sales tax combo providing a financial home run for Hennepin County and Minneapolis
Here's the headline. I have lived in this city of Mpls for years. I don't feel any homerun in my wallet. I've taught here for 40 years need a new car badly and cannot afford one. And if I could because I reside in Hennepin Cty wherever I went to buy a car I'd pay the additional sales tax. And I cannot pay the price for the ticket on my income if I wanted to go. Grow up.
I will miss Meersman in his role as reporter of envirnmental issues. My students will miss his reporting. He was honest and through. We are worse off for it. If we actually are a meritorcacy what is the reason he was transferred. ? See the new documentary "Troubled Media."
Was the piece written before the new data on the effects of merit pay for teachers to the classroom ? Merit pay is just another way to manipulate political power. This seems to be more of the same. If it happens in the world of business it must be good. But let's not talk about how CEO salaries are out of wack here compared to what happens in the rest of the world. But then again we live a country where the upper 1% control 25% of the wealth.
