I guess I won't even buy it occasionally now. Once again the strib runs all the metro chain movie times. I noticed this and said to myself what is the connection to sales losses and nor including the full TVee schedule. I don't know maybe a coincidence.

I'm one of those Mpls teachers Lynn Norgren has spoken of. Already support staff I've spoken with can no longer can afford the health plan offered by this district. So support staff with families are turning to the state for health care costing the state dollars that if affordable the employee would pay. As expenses increase this will happen even more. It is foolish not to support this plan. But our big guy likes his little meaningless victories. The question is this can his party continue...

Looks like the intern had a better graps of the complete picture then obie wan. And the intern only spoke to a small portion no pun intened of the issues connected with animal diets including the use of land relative to productivity in food production as well as the pollution connected with massive industrial meat production not just the the animals waste but the energy use.

Is it ever good to chase money for monies sake ? It's sort of putting the cart before the horse. What do we want our reform to be ? Is it getting rid of the teacher's union ? Is it improving the desire to learn, to create life long learners, the ever curious and the ever engaged ? Improving test scores,creating opportunity, increasing the number of taxpayers. It's easy to lump all of the desires, hopes and dreams of a society onto the backs of teachers and then stick them in the eye if it...

I hands on it. It was cool but I ain't given Apple any on my coin for an unfinished product. I long ago stopped beta testing for them. Give me the camera and easier access to my home terminal across the web. That might help substitute for the lack of a dvd player.

Ediucators do good things in this state and have for a long while. If the dollars come with strings that will fundamentally change the success we've had is the chase worth it ? If a shopper cuts out coupons to save a buck in the family budget how many things will be purchased that are unneeded to save that dollar ? Check out the geography before strating on the chase and while at it look for the traps.

It's the Gibson Schoch column from the perspective of this inner city school teacher. It makes no sense to lower teacher standards. and the probationary period does filter. Teach for America statistics are not all that could to be accepted as a standard are they. As it has been brought up what would motivate someone to pick teaching as a lifetime career in this climate ?

Mr. Swift if you do theater check out "No Child" at the Pillsbury House theater in Mpls. You might learn a thing or two. If not you might be destined for an episode of the Twightlight Zone.

I suspect that stated reason for the "loss" if we are to characterize it as that for the Race to the Top money will be exactly what states were warned against quite sometime ago. That would be how stimulus dollars were used. If state education money were used to correct budget imbalances qualification for Race to the Top money was to be amended. Seems to me money for education in this sate are pretty much in limbo due to the Governor's maneuvering.

Since when have people born experts ? We sure have a lot of experts out there now who've been blessed at birth with full knowledge about everything from science to economics. I wonder why those fools who've spent a lifetime on study and research, gathering and analyzing data, testing and interpreting ideas and possibilities and putting their works out there to be proven or disproven have wasted their time.
