Posted on 04/23/09 at 02:03 pm in response to Entenza makes it official: He's running for governor

My brief review of Matt Entenza's policy positions show someone that this progressive could support against any right-winger out there. But I'd like to see more courage in forthrightly stating policies that would actually solve problems. Matt endorses "Medicare for all," which would be great if the feds were prepared to do it. They're not and Matt knows it. Consequently, I'll back a candidate who actually steps up and proposes real solutions ready to implement now. That would be John Marty...

I'm glad Jane Prince delivered the right information in response to Mr Kimball's story. The large meeting room was filled with interested citizens who seemed very engaged in the issue. I invite Mr. Kimball to explore the issue with us, should he wish.

Given an economic crisis, doesn't it make sense to back the proposal that provides health care to EVERYBODY for LESS TOTAL COST than our current crazy patchwork system? The General Accountability Office has confirmed the numbers - what is lacking is courage at the legislature to face the facts and ignore well-financed lobbying. Senator Marty and Representative Bly deserve our thanks! Their bill is explained at mnhealthplan.org.

Wouldn't it be refreshing, not to mention beneficial, if we elected a Governor with John Marty's point of view on honest government?

Oh wait! He IS running for Governor!
