Reminds me of the legendary headline we always heard about in northwest Minnesota (and very possibly apocryphal):
"Fertile Woman Dies in Climax"
Holy moley! You try designing a logo for a gazillion-dollar company! Let's see what you come up with.
Who is alleging that Ritchie is corrupt? And what is the basis for the allegations? I'm not being sarcastic -- I want to know.
Greg Kapphahn, do you have any connection to Fergus Falls? Any relation to Tim Kapphahn or Cathy Kapphahn?
I have to disagree in part about Minneapolis not being walkable.
It was, in the streetcar days for which the bones of Mpls were laid out.

Don't forget several great riffs by Les Paul himself on "How High the Moon."
Here's a 1950s video from Alistair Cooke's "Omnibus" with Les demonstrating how he mixed a multi-track recording of that song.

You're right, Dennis -- that IS a lot of money. And note the story says that that the actual cost is closer to $300 a day -- meaning more like $9,000 a month.
A lot of money, indeed. Yet what's the alternative? Do you have any suggestions? Are we to let this family live on the streets until they die? Or should their accommodations be more bare-bones -- crude bunks in a barracks setting, with oatmeal and cabbage for meals, and no social workers or job counselors? We could save some...
