MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
It's not for me to represent Patch. But I just wanted to say that I'm working on building up user engagement. So far, I'm so proud that we've got some of what I think are the best, most articulate dialogues I've read on the internet— and we launched 13 days ago!

I think you might want to look at Sturdevant's piece again.
I don't have time right now to dig through the governor's budget, but the fact that the article links to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_Fools'_Day, just kind of makes me think it might not be completely serious.
The idea that it's only decent journalism if the U's investigation comes out against the wrestling program is bullshit.
The U would not have investigated had this story not been published, right?

Isn't this whole "non-partisan" thing really related to the editorial page and not the reporting? The fact is that readers often don't understand that there's a difference.
Opinion reporting can be pretty enlightening, but it's also archaic when one considers you can go to blogs or policy for the same informed views and know that no rich publisher was meddling.
Doesn't being very firm in refusing to make a decision count for something?

Did you even read the article? These activists were arrested BEFORE the protests. It's not a matter of defending the RNC8, it's a matter of accuracy.
Alright. The best hope of the Twin Cities independent media. But why not make him an editor?
