Posted on 10/05/14 at 09:44 am in response to McFadden goes at Franken's record in first debate

I don't know why they called it a debate. All McFadden did was make accusations and didn't say anything of substance. The only thing he has tried to do is address Obamacare, but as a person who has dealt with health insurance issues since 1995, it is quite clear to me that McFadden knows less about health insurance than Obama. I can't imagine that anyone would vote for a person whose is claiming that stupidly removing his kids stitches and coaching a group of ten year olds qualifies him for...

I am not surprised Preferred One is withdrawing. It was a bad business decision on their part. Individual health plans are not their niche market, group health is. If anything MNSURE's people should have questioned Preferred's ability to move to a different market on a large scale. I liken this to Target suddenly expanding there pet food section to sell horses and cows.

I think the GOP should actually talk to some of us Republicans in the 6th. I know a lot of people who would have voted for Bachmann, that won't vote for Emmer, myself included. Also McFadden is becoming a laughing stock with ads that really are insulting to most peoples intelligence. Emmer will probably win in the 6th, but that is only because the Dems don't have a candidate who is doing anything. I know one vote he won't get.

The GOP and in particular Kieth Downey is the train wreck. I have no doubt in my mind they Downey and the gang have tried very hard to get rid of McDonald. They have been silent about Emmers arrests, which had they occurred under current law would have been far more serious. I also believe that if the Strib dug into this they could find a couple more GOP representatives have far more serious arrests or pending legal action. How about
GOP Rep. Ernie Leidiger not paying taxes in the...

The MN GOP, after being a Republican, has turned me into an independent with their stupidity. I have never in my whole life and I am 71, seen such fools trying to govern. It is absolutely complete idiocy.

Why is it so hard to teach reading, and why don't school districts understand that without reading a child or an adult can really not function in our society. Drop the other classes until they can read and read very well. I fail to how any student can grasp any other subject if they can't read.

He looks and sounds like a buffon. I sure am not going to vote for a guy who gets hit in the groin by some kid and thinks that is going to sway my vote. I have been a republican for years, but the candidates the GOP are rolling out this year are embarrasing. I have yet to hear one new constructive idea out of any GOP candidate.

I have a unique idea on how to keep social security solvent. How about the government paying back the 2.7 trillion dollars it has borrowed from social security? Instead of continuing to rob senior citizens, pay back what the government owes.

We don't know who he is or what stands for, he refuses to say. All he does is run off at the mouth and criticize opponents. I don't think he is capable of intelligent thought. He also likes to use children in his ads who pretend they know what they are talking about. Did the kids get paid, where they even legal to be working?

Posted on 06/27/14 at 10:59 am in response to Finally, Mike McFadden offers details on his health-care views

The real problem with health care in this country is education. Most people can't read an insurance policy and understand it. Of the major things in life, banking, health insurance or insurance in general, home ownership, and so on none are taught in our schools. When it comes to healthcare most people don't have a clue what they are going to get or how much it is going to cost. All they have to do is understand the policy and then ask questions. I do it all the time and it has saved me...
