Todd: You have it exactly right. I wish I would have said what you did. I have no idea how two people of the same sex getting married is going to affect my marriage, my sons marriage, or anybody the I know marriage. Half the people that I know who are opposed to gay marriage don't even know anybody who is gay. So how is any gay person going to affect them no matter what they do?

The Vikings stadium deal shows the stupidity of Minnesotans. While lots of cities make millions off of there stadiums, Minnesotans do things on the cheap and everybody pays for it out of pocket. I don't know much about politics, but I do know about running a business. If any business was run the way the GOP wants to run the government, that business wouldn't exist after a short period of time. If any business gets in trouble financially, it has to do two things, tighten its belt and increase revenue. A good business model is one that has a rolling budget and is flexible enough to do what is necessary to increase revenues and cut costs. Cost cutting in business can mean everything...

"The Senate has maintained that Brodkorb was an at-will employee who could be fired without cause." There is caveat to that statement and that is the termination, or firing has to be legal. In other words if an employer lays off, or fires an employee the termination cannot violate any state or federal law. The one element in this that everyone is overlooking is that Brodkorb filed for unemployment and the Senate opposed it. In order for a terminated employee to not receive employment is if was terminated for cause. Since the senate opposed his unemployment they must have had reason for doing so and it had to be one of the reasons set down in the Federal unemployment law. If an employee is let go without cause, that is, laid off either temporarily or permanently they are automatically eligible...

The trapping season especially indicates an unacceptable level of cruelty that is totally disrespectful toward wildlife while putting pet dogs at an unnecessary risk. I am not a trapper, nor have I ever trapped. What I have is owned numerous hunting dogs. Anyone and I mean anyone whose dog is caught in a trap of any kind should be prosecuted for endangering a dog.
