Posted on 04/12/11 at 01:13 pm in response to Job creation by the wealthy is mostly a myth

Piss off the rich, they piss on us by moving jobs overseas.

Piss off the rich, they arrange to elect someone else who might be their puppet. And, perhaps slip money to the Court members?

Piss off the rich, they raise "fees" (since they can't call it a Tax).

We're watching companies like GE and BP not pay fed taxes, but not create jobs in the USA either. Congrats to them. This way the CEO, etc, can have 5 houses, 10 cars, a couple of airplanes and multiple wives,...

I think the biggest point of the article is that he's not talking to the news to explain things. OR is he just avoiding this organization? I'm not implying anything other than to ask out loud.

Thanks.

so, if a hospital that's a not-for-profit closes, what happens?

Those patients go elsewhere? all 5000 employees are unemployed? the helicopters around the state shut down? EMS for northern hennepin county stops and 9-1-1 medical calls go unasnwered? the out-sourced call center based in Hutchinson loses this client ?

This legislator sounds like a NUT.

Posted on 02/10/11 at 08:30 am in response to Media roster moves: Star Tribune, KSTP-TV, Greenspring, 1500 ESPN, MPR

Apparently, whenever I like a radio program in this City, someone comes along and yanks it off the air. So, I won't tell anyone, publically, what I listen to, for fear it will be cancelled.

I complained to KSTP-AM about giving the FIRST hour of the Sat Gardening show to some stoooopid hour-long infomerical program about hair restoration.

I wanted the 3 hours of gardening and home show. It's a great home-town program with great advice. Yes, there were women listening....

Why do I get the feeling that Nemo thinks he's some sort of media genius ?

The hospitals have a better PR machine---with the flaw of saying the same thing over and over. Nemo isn't as polished as Ms Whats-her-name is.

That said, simply putting up signs that say "closed meeting" in BIG letters might have solved one of the problems.

If it had been me, I would have noticed Esme standing outside of the meeting doors and not gone in. DOH.

Nemo should also keep half...

Posted on 06/14/10 at 01:35 pm in response to KSTP-AM's share rises: new ESPN format or just the Twins?

Ok....I know I got here 2 weeks too late, but did anyone else notice that KTIS or WLITE's ratings peaked in December ???

Cmas must do wonders for them, eh? LOLOL Rock on, God !!!

Color me sad about WCCO, too. Spend money on a statue (sp?) for Sid H, for slurring words for 50 years, but get rid of those REAL radio professionals. That makes 100% sense.

Posted on 05/26/10 at 04:57 am in response to What has WCCO-AM wrought?

Oh wow...did I miss this posting.

WCCO will prove once again, they have no clue about GOOD radio with the hiring of Mischke.

You buy out Russell, Eskola, McKinney and you hire Mischke ??? Good grief. The same idiots who thought Phil Hendry & Wes Minter were good hires are back and terrorizing the loyal listeners again. Mischke's loyal callers keep proving MY point over and over about the fan base he brings in.

Chad Hartman is hardly silled enuf to live up to the...

Posted on 04/27/10 at 10:26 am in response to Columnist: WCCO-AM host John Williams' situation in Chicago is shaky

Well, I guess this might solve how John Williams was gonna be at the State Fair, eh ???

It was odd how someone in town on a school visit (wink wink nudge nudge) would take the time to do a try-out, now the "REST of the Story" is out. Thanks for the 411 with props to Paul Harvey.

Posted on 04/27/10 at 10:57 am in response to WCCO-AM buyouts begin: Tim Russell leaving

Well said all of you, except WCCO could get rid of the Gophers all-together. Get the Twins back, however.

I think CBS is in the position of creating an ESPN kind of network--a few local things here & there but mostly some inane, unintelligent garbage that is national, like the overnight stuff. (KMOX in St Louis had a talk-show on from Pittsburgh or PHillie when I checked the other day.)

But seeing WCCO dismatled like pulling legs off of a daddy-long-leg spider makes me...

Posted on 04/08/10 at 07:50 pm in response to What's old is new: John Williams gets WCCO-AM 1-3 p.m. slot

Oh boy, Mark. I just shot off an email to Wendy Paulson that pretty much summarizes what you said.

Tafoya has to go. But perhaps she can do her show from Chicago. McKinney can do the news from KMOX. Dave Lee (whom I do love) from Hatten, NoDak.

I disagree about Chat Hartman. I didn't like him on KFAN, I was glad he was let go there.

But you're right...where's the "Live & Local" aspect of this once great station. Dave Lee might be blah because someone won't let...
