This article was incredibly useless.
It begs the question of a perceived injustice without drawing any reference to conditions outside the school that might contribute to unproductive behavior in the first place.
Never, not once, has an article that draws attention to one group or another made a reference to what happens at home.
I understand the fear that might compel the writer or those in education not to attack poor parenting.

God bless Sen Franken for his expression of charitable intent.
However, with 2 wars going on, a border about to explode with our neighbor country going nuts, with flash mobs scaring the heck out of the working middle class, with embarrassing cascading education standards and a disintegrating national infrastructure among other things I have to believe there were better things for this man to do than pass out meals on wheels etc..
