for whom familiarity has bred a good deal of contempt, to see how T-Paw could even be considered in passing. Yet, the talking heads on national TV all seem to think he's bronze, at least, if he isn't golden -- leading us with the very real possibility that come November, all these Repugs who pride themselves on being Ideological will have no option but to vote for two men so rankly opportunistic and changeable that there isn't any "there" there.

T-Paw wearing what we used to call a get laid shirt (it's in the shine) in lavendar of all colors with something odd going on with how it's tucked -- as if it's partially caught in his underwear, and Mittens, who I always think of as being quite slim looking like Boss Hogg . . . as my mother would say, "definitely not attractive."

has nothing whatsoever to do with this photo. I was actually (a little bit) on your side . . . pointing out that the choice of photo didn't represent either man at their average, much less best.

Roberts ruled as he did either to provoke that response from people and give himself cover for future, hyper-partisan decisions or as part of a long game realization that invalidating the oh-so conservative Heritage Foundation's individual mandate would increase the pressure for single-payer and sound the death knell for our horrifically inappropriate, inefficient and ineffective profit-based health care system.

The fact that the "brilliant" Scalia was apparently too blinded by...

created by such a project have to concern both residents of the neighborhood and patrons of the current businesses. I have NEVER seen a Trader Joe's that isn't a traffic and parking nightmare, and the descriptions of a sprawling, one-story, parking lot surrounded store where its being proposed sounds absolutely horrendous.

What is more, although I confess to buying things at TJs, I can't imagine anyone ever making it their main grocery store, or even particularly missing the...

Posted on 06/15/12 at 01:28 pm in response to Ritchie refuses to defend Voter ID; GOP cries foul

Though, I can't for the life of me figure out why he was the named defendant in the first place -- he didn't write the languge or propose the amendment. Seems to me that the responsibility for defending both always lay with the Republi-CON legislators who wrote and proposed it. Why should Ritchie, as a complete outsider to whatever discussions or negotiations surrounding its writing and proposing, be forced to guess why it was written as it was or manufacture reasons why the language on...

Perhaps the last sane Republican to hold state office, and even he wasn't endorsed. (Remember Grunseth -- one of the earliest adopters of do-as-I-say-and-not-as-I-do Family Values?) This latest is just one more instance of the sleaziness and irresponsibility of the current crop of CONs. It's just bait and switch legislation and making other people front the money for their bad acting this time instead of frolicking with 15-year-old girls.

that doesn't directly benefit me.

to believe Mr. Peppin is whistling past the graveyard more than looking at the facts. The one that is, perhaps, the most important, however, is that the R majorities were gained by the slimmest of margins in a low turnout, non-presidential year. No matter how good the map is or isn't for the Goopers, it's hard to imagine a repeat.

have a "European model" of wild game management just like Texas, and have to pay to go deer hunting on someone's ranch.

No doubt Walker's Koch buddies will be buying up the state parks left and right, fracking on some and raising "wild" deer on others. Maybe on they'll even start doing it on the same land, save the trouble of shooting at the deer, just kill them off by poisoning their drinking water with fracking fluid. Heck, I bet they could even flash cook them over natural gas...
