Gov Dayton led. Zellers and Senjem didn't.

their nightmare scenario of Minnesota being the first in a avalanche of people saying no to their corporate thuggery did not come to pass. Lord but I'm sick of corporate and uber-wealthy Welfare Queens.

Posted on 05/04/12 at 11:38 am in response to Colin Powell discusses the WMD 'blot' on his record

if, in fact, Powell urges others to accept responsibility while deflecting it from himself -- it's one of the recurring thems of today's repubs that the buck stops one or two or more grade levels down.

Posted on 05/04/12 at 12:56 pm in response to Dayton vetoes 'teacher seniority' bill

it opens the door wide for age discrimination and cutting costs by jettisoning both experience and advanced degrees. Just another one of the GOPs race-to-the-bottom strategies.

are the historic rivalries largely responsible for the TV ratings. Will the Packers or da Bears generate the same fan furvor among Angelinos? I think it's doubtful.

Wisconsin has LOST JOBS for the last 7 months, when all the rest of the country is gaining . . . connection maybe? What a loser. T-Paw Empty suit without enough wit to even snark well.

there is no doubt in my mind that being "religious" in Mississippi is a prerequisite for happiness. It's pretty much the only game in town. Being pack animals, we humans generally don't do well when we're divorced from the community/society that surrounds us --- and if the Church is the only community available, well the Church it's going to be. When you add in the poverty that comes from right-to-work-for-less wages and entrenched tax-free elite, and the abysmal education and "social"...

are blatant efforts to privatize profits and socialize risks so that the corporations can give bigger and bigger chunks of money to their CEOs and leave the taxpayers holding the bag. Depressingly typical.

I wonder when some of our corporation worshipping repug rank and file are going to wake up and realize that corporate welfare is more pernicious and destructive and costly than humanitarian welfare has ever been or could ever be.

ALEC has a well-publicized "Tort Reform Boot Camp for State Legislators" and "model bills." So . . some local GOOPer or his/her aide changes a word here and there and it's magically home-grown and original? I couldn't get away with such blatant plagarism in grade school for God's sake
