MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
No matter how many improvements the economy has made and will continue to make in Obama's next four years in office, the Republicans will plug their ears, close their eyes and yell 'LALALALA--Obama is doing nothing!"
Fortunately for the nation, the number of folks voting Republican is decreasing, especially during this specatacle of the Repub fight for the nomination. Hilariously sad party, those R's.
This is the best the R's can do?
I'm already celebrating Obama's re-election!
Eric, you have my sympathy! I have enough trouble listening to Joe Scarborough bloviate on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." (The ff button comes in handy.)
Some of those folks will at least sell a few more of their books, but I sure hope they don't sell any of their messages to the voters.
Wow, Newt Gingrich? The Repubs are in worse shape than I'd thought. Goodie!
Ron, thank you for this treasure-trove of information about a must-see destination. This article is just another reason why I support MNPost!
Oil, coal, and gas companies have lots of money and lots of incentives to make sure enough of us believe what the climate-change deniers are selling, persuading enough folks to keep voting against the environment--and for the Republican party.
"What Rove and friends did to him in South Carolina killed my regard for the Republican Party." says Richard Schulz.
That behavior just confirmed my dislike (putting it mildly) for the Republican party. No doubt those hatchets are out for Mitt unless he swerves to the far right. I hope more Republicans' eyes are opened to the disaster for our country if the Tea Party were in charge.
Pat Thompson: thanks for sharing your respnses to what you've learned from your reading, the overview, and MPR's Midmorning! I will go to the MPR website to hear the whole show. Especially liked the "rationalizer" explanation as to our supposed improved rationality.
Interesting how Repubs taunt Democrat office holders about the lack of progress in getting things done in the legislature, when it's their people who are blocking the efforts.
As American as...generosity! Thank you, Melanie! I hope you have one of your masterpieces left for me!
