I'm not a lawyer, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. Practically everyone agrees that the K-Mart on Lake St. is an eye sore, and the decision to obstruct Nicollet Ave was one of the 10 biggest urban planning blunders of the 20th Century. However, since Citizen's United so wisely granted personhood status to corporations, and since individual persons could in theory at any time lose their land to Eminent Domain, then why not apply Eminent Domain to K-Mart, and re-acquire the land for...
Indeed, the commercial requires no critical thinking from viewers, which is why I fear that it will be so terribly effective (as in, it could result in a terrible outcome in November 2012). The ad captures the viewer much like a movie preview does; complete with exciting music, like what one would hear in an action-adventure film. This is truly scary, and it becomes clear to me how fascism succeeded in taking over such educated and culturally sophisticated countries as Italy and Germany....
