You'd think a fan like me would get tired of reading Rambis story after Rambis story after Rambis story, and yeah, that's somewhat true.

Yet despite having read at least a dozen Rambis stories over the last week, including Steve's Sports Illustrated article, I still found this one to be fresh. Quotes I hadn't seen, insights I'd yet to read.

In fact I was so surprised by this that I just reread the SI piece on Rambis to make sure I was right, and I was.

Since Mr. Swift is resorting to links to make his dubious case, he should enjoy this one:

As recently as a few months ago Newt Gingrich was recommending the use of exactly the same kind of "death panels" Johnny Isakson (R-GA) put into Obama's bill.

This is all about obstructionism as part of a greater effort to make sure there is no healthcare reform passed by Congress....

Brian, did you totally miss her vehement disgust for the public option? She's not playing to win, she's playing to obfuscate. I'm betting that if you READ a transcript of that interview, you might be startled to note all the propagandistic tropes she used.

For starters, what are the odds of the special interests controlled U.S. Congress ever enacting the tight regulations that control Swiss business entities? Did you notice that her examples were ALL from Switzerland?

Her...

Not just fast food. Are there any restaurant chains left that don't load up on fat grams?

A while back a local Thai restaurant ran a picture of how much Thai food you could eat before you'd run up as many calories as one restaurant chain's bacon quesadillaburger. Even then the Thai food had only a fraction as many fat grams and sodium.

Corporate America has chosen to poison our nation because they believe we'll always choose the least healthy item, but the problem is they've...

A good case in point is today's Strib article on the ESPN reporter keyhole video. A disturbing number of commenters cannot get past the "she doesn't even look that hot" stage of discussion. How old are these people?

That kind of crap would vanish instantly if real names were required. The print edition doesn't allow anonymity.

I sincerely believe this situation exists solely to bump up the Strib's web traffic. Nothing spikes numbers like a nasty fight in the comments.

And, as usual, Scott Johnson is completely, totally wrong.

Powerline won't correct this item and their readers will go about their lives with more nonsense stuffed in their heads.

Absolutely false information propagated by rightwing blogs from a single erroneous source. Par for the course in 21st Century America.

Put the blame where it belongs: talk radio.

No other medium encourages incivility and uninformed rants like talk radio, whether it's news or sports.

Yellow Pages are a part of history that cannot go away any too soon. That entire business model has collapsed thanks to the gross incompetence of Yellow Pages executives whose industry is completing the WORST TRANSITION TO ONLINE CONTENT in the history of the internet.

Yellow Pages have always extracted the highest possible price from advertisers, but now it's questionable if they're worth the bother. To use that is. To advertise in? Only as a joke.

The legislature should ban...

Some specifics from Mr. Anderson would be appreciated. In what ways has Speaker Kelliher contributed to Minnesota's failed infrastructure, underfunded schools and colleges, or our inability to tax our rich at the same rates as our poor?

Gov. Pawlenty has worked aggressively to leverage his veto so as to maintain control over Minnesota's budget. Given that Minnesota is in a deep financial hole, how is that NOT Pawlenty's responsibility?

Transparent organizations are inherently more credible. Seems the Strib could use all the cred they can get.
