You register for a license, you have to show proof of ownership for a vehicle, a ID is needed to open a bank account, get a library card, cash a check, etc. The only real reason some groups do not want to have a voter ID law is so that people can VOTE no matter who they are. If you are here illegally, or convicted felon without your rights restored, then you have no right to vote in this country. If you have NO ID, then get one. I'm sure there is an organization out there who will pay for it...
