If Congresswoman Bachmann has a problem with stalkers, she should get a restraining order, just like all the rest of us do. Of course, as a public official, her constituents expect her to be accessible. This could be hampered by actions like hiding behind bushes and in township restrooms.

So constituents might need to be persistent, assertive, or even aggressive in seeking contact with the congresswoman.

Now, if a constituent finally achieves contact and gets so excited they...

If Edwards just 'suspended' his campaign, doesn't that mean his name will still be on the Super Tuesday ballot?

I think people can still vote for him on February 5 if they don't want to choose a different candidate.

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton had a very good performance in the Saturday evening debate televised on ABC.

She was smart, articulate, humorous, and also tough. That, combined with her emotional moment in the diner, showed that she is multi-faceted, and I think those qualities are appreciated by many voters, perhaps most so by other women.

Following Dan's definition of patriotism, Georg Gaertner, the co-author of "Hitler's Last Soldier" might be more patriotic than Congressman John Kline.

An escaped German POW, Gaertner lived in America under an assumed name for over 40 years before turning himself in to law enforcement authorities in the 1980s. Gaertner was a willing and proud American worker and payer of taxes.

I look at political party contributions not as rewards for good, or expected bahaviors, but as an investment in the future.

My contributions, though meager, and my volunteer work helped to build the New Majority that we now have in both the state legislature and the federal congress. While I did not get all that I wanted in the election of 2006, a New Majority was achieved, and I'm working to strengthen that fledgling majority, and win in the Executive branches of government in 2008...
