have been presented over the years.
Again, I'll ask you to read Federalist No. 46. An armed populace provides a check against any standing army the national government can raise. It has nothing to do with fighting pitched battles against the regular Army: it's for a cost-benefit analysis.
Federalist Number 46, paragraph 9, starting with "Let a regular army, fully equal to the resources of the country, be formed...";
The Constitutions of the States, i.e. that of Maine: "All power is inherent in the people; all free governments are founded in their authority and instituted for their benefit; they have therefore an unalienable and indefeasible right to institute government, and to alter, reform, or totally change the same, when their safety and happiness require it." Note that Mr. Hintz needs to use the modifier "gay" for the word "marriage".
That is because marriage is between a man and a woman for the purpose of forming a union, consummating the marriage by engaging in the procreative act, forming a family unit to raise their offspring.
Anything else needs a modifier.
Mr. Baumeister wrote:
"Mr. Krasnoff, please spare us your endless repetition of your personal beliefs on marriage."
because I stated religious, cultural, and biological fact:
"That is because marriage is between a man and a woman for the purpose of forming a union, consummating the marriage by engaging in the procreative act, forming a family unit to raise their offspring."
Mr. Baumeister, along with Minnesota United for All Families, wish to deny object truth. So...
I can't wait to see how all you progressives, using the power of the state, will impose your beliefs about "same sex marriage" upon the people of Minnesota, upon normal people, upon Jews, Christians, Muslims.
Don't think you're so pure as the driven snow. You're not.
The First Amendment to the United States Constitution states in part:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
There are two important statement of law:
1. Congress shall not establish a national religion.
2. Congress shall not prohibit the free exercise of religion.
There is no "freedom from religion" in the First Amendment.
If you're referring to the supremacist and oppressive Arab countries in the area, you are correct.
We have rational arguments. Just like religious fundamentalists, your side just won't listen to them.
Mr. Filner:
- Do you belief the state should have a monopoly on armed violence?
- Do you believe a gun can be used as a legitimate form of individual self-defense?
With the 20th Century and the social disintegration in western civilization indicates, intellectuals and academics pose a clear and present danger.
Can't we agree on that as well?
