MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
"To counteract this trend, we must be willing to strategically invest in targeted job-creation initiatives and re-entry programs that will create a positive return on our investment and put young black men to work. We must also insist on policy changes that create reform of systems that are not working effectively and are causing more harm than good."
Instead of spending more of our money ("investing" in the non-profit industry sink hole). tell black women not to get pregnant until...
I believe that black women are moral agents who are capable of making responsible decisions that will affect civil society.
Do you?
Refer to Lysistrata for an explanation of this concept.
Now that I've scanned the comments of the "progressives" here, I have concluded that you have rejected Jewish and Christian morality. I wonder what you intend to replace it with, and if any of you believe that your rights are endowed upon you by the Creator.

Democratic Farmer Labor Party: representing the working class. Yup.
(No sarcasm from the progs: I place blame on the Republicans as well.)
Rev. Jerry McAfee does not know his own history. One part of the argument in favor of the 14th Amendment were that blacks would be guaranteed the same rights as white people - including the right to keep and bear arms.
Mr. Ash, member of the Reform Mount Zion synagogue and on the national board of Jewish Voice for Peace, advocates that a Jewish business should be targeted for a boycott, for he believes it is the Jews who build houses in their ancient homeland who are the problem - not the Arabs and Muslims who call for the destruction of Israel and the genocide of world Jewry.
Mr. Ash asserts "the settlements are illegal". The "settlements" is a pejorative to describe "Jews who build houses outside...
