well, as I've been noting as of late - MINNESOTA, that's Mississippi with two 'n's

I'm not a vegetarian, nor anything resembling an 'animal rights' advocate, BUT what I find insanely self serving about this bill is that it's just fine to clone animals for obvious 'product' purposes. An absolutely illustrative example of breath taking hypocrisy from those 'culture of life' types.

This is great. . .and that's its failing. It's too sensible for the body politic just now. Performance Art is just way too fun for legislative bodies to try and do things another way. Prevention and intervention as opposed to putting more people in jail? Oh c'mon! Aren't you for job growth and being tough on crime? . . . *sigh

thank you Mr. Black for bringing up the Postman book - it's not fresh, but it was an awful warning of what has come to fruition - being a geezer in waiting, I think back to a lot of Sci Fi I read in the 70's and 80's and DUDE - with a few small variations, the cultural landscape is taking that shape ! HELP ME MR. WIZARD!

call me snarky - but this is just another example of how 'values voters' have become performance artists. . Sutton is the very picture of Republican manhood..

The amusing aspect : This strain of political virus has proudly taken up the element of performance art that was so repugnant to them 30 years ago. Also it is ALL about feeling good. So much for their sneers about 'feel good' politics - jeez, even Norm used this in the last cycle.

The unamusing aspect : These folks want another Civil War. And it will be a shooting war.

thanks Mr. B for great work at MinnPost

I visited the museum last year and it is a stomach and jaw dropper. A bit of clarification is needed. The shrouded, winged figures are Sphinxs.

And there is a specific meaning to them. From another website, here's the scoop:: Facing east, Memory, has its wings shielding its face from the horrors of the battlefields of Europe. Future, facing west, has its wings shrouding its face to the symbolic unseen future.

In checking my memory regarding the meaning of the statues I also...
