That's a bigger payroll than the Vikings, at a fraction of the cost of a new a stadium.

Even with the extra $100 M Ziggy will take the money and run. Compared to the cost of relocating, it's nothing and Bagley and Ziggy know that the NFL will not let them turn this deal down and move. If they have anywhere to move. Which they don't.

Hands down the best and funniest thing I have ever read on MinnPost.

I received the same call last evening. I asked the caller if she was paid or a volunteer and she told me she was a volunteer.

I've also experienced the unease people have with my riding the bus or walking home and I find it odd. They react as if it's something to be somewhat ashamed of or embarrassing. If they're driving out of their way so I don't have to take the bus or walk home, I might as well have driven myself, which I'm perfectly capable of doing. When I bike I'm sometimes treated as an oddity, though less frequently than in the past.

Posted on 04/24/12 at 10:32 am in response to Bill would allow online driver's ed for home-schoolers

Enrolling in an on-line school, whether a public school, a charter school (charters are PUBLIC schools), or a private school is NOT homeschooling. Homeschooling is directing the education of your own child using resources you deem proper for your child.

That said, since driver's ed is not part of the required curriculum and is not offered during the school day, I don't understand why allowing students to take driver's ed on line should be limited to home school students. I don't...

The vast majority of health problems are lifestyle-induced. Lack of physical activity and poor diet are two factors outside of the healthcare system that are driving up costs. Ever hear someone say, "Why is America the only country where poor people are overweight?" The cheapest foods in the grocery store (and the foods at fast food joints) are are giving us health problems. We don't subsidize fruits or vegetables but do subsidize corn and wheat. And yet despite this meddling in the free...

The outcome of the Presidential election looms, in the event the Senate ends up 50-50.

Posted on 04/09/12 at 10:24 pm in response to Twin Cities’ exurban housing boom stalls — perhaps for good

The article indicates that not only did the population of Ramsey County grow, it has been growing faster than that of the exurban counties. So how can it be shrinking?

Corporate executives get rewarded for repeatedly running their companies into bankruptcy? Sounds like heads I win, tails you lose.

Just remember, it's those union thugs ruining the economy.
