MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
If only somebody else will pay for it... Do us a favor-if you feel that strongly about it, take up a collection. Not having been able to afford my kid's tuition out of pocket, I'm not interested in paying to educate somebody elses. Not everybody in the state makes as much as you two-or anywhere near!
Haha. What a dreamer!
Please-just give the people what they want; the list of who's been doing who and then go away. Nobody's interested in your story and any vids you two may have produced would make me nauseous.
Has anyone calculated the cost of legitimately saving one life to which the MFD has responded? That is, a timely, critical, superior skills-based extraction that would have otherwise most certainly resulted in loss of life? Now divide by vacations, sick time, luxury pensions. Now times more fire-fighters, training and support, and supervisors than you thought possible. At what point do you say 'i just can't afford this anymore?'
Your just wrong to continue to provide a forum for this hack's self-promotion. If denied a media outlet, trust me-he'll go away!
What a perfect union: ding dongs with no jobs (and no prospects) shilling for millionaire absentee owners, from the majority (average taxpayers) simply trying to avoid either extreme.
Oh Please! All of the commentating and hand-wringing is playing right into the hands of the proponents of this monstrous misuse of tax dollars. It's only serving to heighten the drama and allow everyone to feign a sigh of relief as the handsome prince gallops in to sweep up the lovely princess and carry her off into the sunset (or a 25 year lease). How many times do you have to watch this movie before you know the ending! Watch and tell me I got it wrong?!
You're really kidding yourself if you think just "two" employees accessed private data illegally. Get real!
How about if State Gov't joins the rest of it's inhabitants in doing more with less. Many residents are earning less than ever before. It's time state employees shared the pain. There is no bottomless well.
What is up with democratic leaders caving on such important issues that were once the center-stone of their campaigns? This sounds like over-priced bad advice from the same idiots that got us here. Thanks.
