Posted on 04/16/13 at 05:17 pm in response to Vaccine fear-mongering has muffled legitimate research on vaccine safety

Susan Perry and her ilk never pass up a chance to quote the world’s best-known vaccine salesman, Paul Offit, while failing to mention that he makes millions of dollars pushing his rotavirus vaccine.

Offit makes the vague statement “they could also have a risk” regarding vaccines, knowing full well his own vaccine has killed at least one child and caused a horribly painful condition called intussusception in many others. Intussusception is a disorder where the intestine turns inside...

So the CDC now says that 1 in 88 children has autism. And these figures are based on kids born in the year 2000, so they are already extremely outdated. Our government has stood by, scratching their heads for nearly three decades while the rate of neurologically impaired children in this country has skyrocketed. And amazingly, they are still trying to convince people that it's partially due to better diagnosing. Really? Were doctors so clueless 20 years ago that they just didn't notice...

Paul -
Please provide proof that "The one group of studies that claimed a connection were the product of scientific fraud".

And by the way, simply sending links to articles that CLAIM fraud do not count.

Posted on 04/10/12 at 01:45 pm in response to Autism rates rise nationally, but reasons remain unclear

As predicted, you sent a link to an article which merely reports that another article made claims of fraud - with absolutely NO substantiation of any actual fraud being committed.

The reason that's all the proof I'll get from you is that there is no proof of fraud. Doctor Wakefield has never even been charged with fraud, much less convicted.

Apparently, just reading a story that repeats another story is enough to persuade you. But these days, more young parents are choosing...

Wow - seven kids get a treatable disease and health officials are "bracing" themselves.

Meanwhile, one out of every 94 children in this country has autism - a devastating neurological disorder known in some cases to be caused by vaccines.

And all the health "officials" are doing is calling for more vaccines. What has this world come to?

I dream of the day when the suffering of the vaccine-injured gets the same level of media coverage as the suffering of those who just...

I attempted to post a comment here a couple days ago, and for some strange reason, my comment never appeared. I'm going to try again.

I find it interesting that you have a blurb about supporting high-quality journalism under this article, when this article is actually a perfect example of poor-quality journalism!

Most of the information in this post is taken from what someone else wrote - in OPINION pieces.

This is a type of "journalism" that has become all too common...

I nearly fell out of my chair to read Mr. Osterholm's ridiculous statement: “It really is akin to screaming fire in a crowded theater without there being any evidence of a fire.”

Are you kidding me?? This is exactly what the World Health Organization did when it declared H1N1 a "pandemic", thereby scaring people into buying the very product (vaccines) made by the industry that gives huge "grants", "speaking fees", and "consulting fees" to those making the decisions at WHO.

No...

Dan -
The fact that the HHS website (and the CDC, for that matter) continue to carry that disclaimer statement you highlighted is again a perfect example of the conflicting and confusing messages our regulatory agencies continue to put forth.

The NVICP is an agency within the US Department of Health and Human Services. Here is an excerpt from the decision for a child named Bailey Banks:

"The Court found, supra, that Bailey’s ADEM was both caused-in-fact and proximately...

To Dan Hintz:
"There never was any evidence whatsoever that autism is caused by vaccines."

Sorry Dan, but the US Department of Health and Human Services disagrees with you on that very important point. I encourage you (and all readers) to do some research on the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. There have been several cases (some that were so obvious the court did not even argue the case, but conceded before trial) where vaccines have been shown to cause autism....

This article is a perfect example of shoddy journalism! First off, it was a paper, not a study. Secondly, the findings revealed by the paper have never been proven wrong. They have, in fact, been reproduced with the same results in at least five other research studies! The retraction of this paper by the Lancet was due to how the children were referred, and whether investigations were approved by the local ethics committee, not because the actual findings within the paper were "...
