This was Dayton's baby and was supported by many DFL, at least in the end. I was told by my representative that it was a no-go, but she voted for it, anyway. I have no remorse--I didn't think we should be forking over all that dough to mollify Wilf. Especially in such lean times. If we were living high on the hog, as we did in the '90's, it might be a different story. Still, the Vikings should pay far more than they are. This is a huge expense, and I had no illusions that this brand...
They are now free to actually report negative findings regarding the stadium. Conflict of interest much?
Such as....single payer?
I completely agree with the assessment in this article. More and more businesses are requiring a college education, even for jobs that, arguably, have absolutely no need for a college educated employee. However, businesses claim that they want a college educated employee because finishing a degree shows that the employee was capable of finishing something. Somehow, I suspect that at least some of the traits that Mr. Sullivan mentioned (interpersonal communication skills, emotional...
I'll be moving soon...into her district. Ugh. While the bar is set low, hopefully Graves will run again because he's well above the bar. I might just have to figure out how I can get involved with booting her butt out.
To use only half of the verse and to ignore the following events in the Bible is a good example of taking the Lord's name in vain. That is, Mr. Cornish can't possibly believe that that's the whole story. While Jesus didn't encourage his followers to simply roll over, neither did he encourage them to take up arms. The quotation provided by Cornish was a very specific instance just before he was arrested and killed. He asks his disciples to take up swords, but just two, and then admonishes...
There are lots of components to depression and misery. However, in every case, there is at least one factor in common--yourself. Now, I'm not saying that being miserable is your fault, per se. However, it doesn't mean it's anyone else's fault. People from all walks of life have a chance to grow up miserable. Since there are endless variables in how people grow up, there can't be any single factor, other than one's self, in common. People with straight parents sometimes grow up gay and/...
Bahahahaha! That word, I don't think it means what you think it means, Strib. Just because "competitive" is the latest buzzword for how to describe a tax environment doesn't mean you get to string it together with whatever you want and it won't make you look stupid. Besides, talk about transparent. Why don't you just buy a lobbyist like everyone else does. That way, you can stop wasting precious paper on this drivel.
From one person's point of view, everything looks one way. From another's, it can look completely different. In this case, I have mixed feelings. My dad and all his siblings are adopted. I don't know what the conditions were on his birth certificate, but he was old enough to remember his name prior to his adoption, in any case. He was adopted by my grandparents, along with two of his natural siblings, while two other siblings were adopted separately by two other families. He has since...
wonder how Ryan can keep a straight face.
