We were at the Senate hearing and listened to Jeff Wilfahrt testify. My heart broke hearing his testimony. We deeply appreciate that he is speaking out as he grieves for his dear son. May his words soften hearts and help people see the injustice of this constitutional amendement.
I hope those in the Republican party who are as disgusted as we are to see discrimination written into our state constitution will sit down with the legislators who are championing this amendment. Where is the old Republican party?
Thank goodness Pawlenty never had a Republican legislature at his fingertips. His newly released video on Wisconsin is a package of lies and fears. Does this man have a conscience?
It was wonderful to see the students cheering them as they walked in as a couple. This became a lesson in understanding and acceptance for all ... taught by the students.
Thank you to Doug Grow for covering this conference. Wonderful to know that 2,500 will attend and go home energized to work for equality in their own communities!
I want to thank Rabbi Michael Adam Latz and Shir Tikvah for taking a stand on marriage equality. I long for the day of equality for my son. It will take bold and loving acts like this to see that day.
As a mother with a beloved gay son, I want to thank both of our Senators for standing for justice on this issue. Right now Minnesota has both Senators speaking for the repeal of DADT. I am grateful for their leadership on this issue...may DADT be lifted before the new year.
I hear many saying the same thing as Kate Packard. Senator Franken and his staff reach out and follow up when people have concerns. Our family has also witnessed this with his work for gay rights. He listens and he cares. We see Senator Franken as a man who is not only bright and well educated ... he has a heart full of compassion. He is in the Senate to serve the people. Senator Franken has our love and gratitude.
Thank you, Chris Ison and MinnPost, for this beautiful story.
Our love to Lt. Col. Pam Mindt for her bravery and her service to our country.
I hope her story is shared across this nation. DADT must go and it is through stories like this one that hearts are moved.
Dayton is ahead. Three wonderful words to read on this day.
