Thank you to Travis and his family for their good work. Our family thanks you.

How wonderful that Sen. Franken and Rep. Ellison took the time to meet with him. Not surprising they were the ones to make the time to see Travis in person.

I hope members of Congress are moved to take Travis' testimony to heart and work to see funding for epilepsy research increase and to make sure people can take the name-brand drugs that have been prescribed and that works for them and not be...

It takes a certain magic to be able to rally a crowd and also work a room full of people making each person feel they have been heard. Mayor Rybak can do both well. I think he can follow Humphrey's lead from mayor of Minneapolis to winning a state wide race. I also like his most positive and upbeat personality. There is a joy and optimism about him that is exciting.

This piece was nothing more than another Kersten column. Sad to see it on MinnPost.

As a mother who dearly loves her gay son, I am so weary of Kersten's tired old rhetoric against the gay community.

Truth will triumph in the end but it is sad MinnPost doesn't understand the pain felt by so many dear people whenever Kersten is the given the opportunity to speak.

We will never forget Rev. Anita Hill's ordination. The joy of that day has been the glimmer of hope for us all these years. We give thanks to people like her who have worked so hard within the church to see the day of welcome to all. May that glimmer of hope shine brightly today for all those who have felt excluded by the ELCA. May today be the day all are fully welcomed.

Thank you, Doug Grow. Great article.

I hope as people read it ... they will ask themselves ...

Wouldn't it be best to simply treat everyone with full equality?

Really sad to read the comment by Thomas Swift.

"Unfortunately, Paul's decision to publicly celebrate his sexual preferences tell me that he'd likely make them a basis from which he made his decisions. I'd prefer someone with a bit more serious agenda."

Thomas Swift, it is not a "preference" ... it is an orientation. It has nothing to do with choice ... it is Paul's sexual orientation ... simply who is was created to be.

I am guessing your sexual orientation is...

We were at many events where Sen. Franken drew that great map and I loved it every time .... but not one where it went for just $200. Wish we had been at that event. Still want a map ... with or without Hawaii and Alaska.

This video brought back good memories of Sen. Franken's campaign ... you can see he truly loved what he was doing and he reached out to everyone with wit and kindness.

The 3rd District will be an important race as Rep.Erik Paulsen ran as candidate with Ramstad ties. He is not a Ramstad ... Paulsen is a right wing conservative who does not fit the 3rd district.

O my goodness, Spencer, that was quite a response. I am not on any campaign committee but I do have people dear to me who have to take cuts on their salaries. I simply found it good to see a person holding office also taking the cuts that others are required to take in these difficult times. I admire a leader that has compassion. Maybe we need a little more compassion today.

I appreciated seeing Mayor Chris Coleman's photo on those who are getting a salary cut. It shows me he really feels we are in this crisis together and he is not above the sacrifices that are being made by so many dear people. It is a quality I would seek in a leader.
