Hallelujah
The Republicans will drive off the fiscal cliff. Why? They deny hat their policies were rejected and they will punish the country to show them their votes were wrong. No lose for them till 2014, and they can change the story again.
Putting elected partisan officials in charge of drawing boundaries is wrong. Iowa does it extra-legislatively, because it is wrong the way Reoublicans have currently manipulated the system. As did the Democrats 20 years ago.
"elections have consequences". Yes they do. The voters spoke and Dean and Zellers can sit in the back and shut up now. They had their chance and were roundly repudiated. Time to let the adults take charge and finally clean up the mess that began with Ventura and accelerated under Pawlenty.
30 Republican governors = Rep. Majority in House
Senate majority= popular vote totals, narrow but trending Democrats for next few cycles
Electoral win= makers outvote takers, Blue states account for 60% of GDP.
The future?
Slow decline in Midwest Republican advantage as minority populations and young dominate voting.
Republican irrelevance as they become more stridently Conservative, losing an increasingly non-white USA.
The democrats need to come more...
Do I hear the chirping of crickets or is it just the silence of our reliably outrageous commenters? Guess the public was smarter than the pundits to the trolls.
It was hard to decide which was worse to watch, the game or the political ads. Truly a gruesome choice.
Who knows if people challenging voters at the polls are legitimate voters. What credentials do they have.
A Civil Rights Act if it was voted on by public?
No slavery if it had been a public vote?
Non-segregated schools if it was put to a vote?
I doubt it. Hiding behind the "will of he people" is a coward's out. Bigotry frequently is popular, that is how it evolves.
How the PR and commenters continue the same screeds unbiased by any facts. BusinessInsider had a graph showing job creation 2009-2012 exceeded the job creation 2001-2005. The major difference is there was more government hiring and job creation by Bush and under Obama job creation in government declined, so who is the fiscal conservative?
