There are companion bills moving through to curb the powers of metro watershed districts
to do the same in service of the same interests.

I keep waiting for Brodkorb to crank up his old blog "Minnesota Democrats Exposed". He could have a special thread on his own shenanigans. November is not that far away.

The corporate lobby dominates our legislature these days yet is very disccrete about "stepping
up" to put a dime of their own into the Viking stadium game. All the major sports events that come here have pavilions (golf) and luxury boxes (tax-favored) that are almost medieval in scope.
The low information voter is set up for a long term fleecing and the Strib is part of this cabal.

Anybody who watches the comments of majority legislators on welfare reform on the
Minesota Channel will tell you she is not an outlier but typical." We are the greatest
country in the world with the greatest economic system in the world. If you aren't prospering
there has to be something wrong with you. You are a burden on the good people".

To the extent that he was at all loyal to the mission of a land grant university , I
can see working for the republican caucus to be a terrible source of pressure. Well
he's off the hook now.

If the republicans are worried about sharia law, penetrating our laws, perhaps they should look in the mirror.

Whenever you hear rhetoric like "is all about the children", I sense greed. Like the effort this session to put permits on a fast track, the motives are clear when you look to the area around
th BWCA.

See how the outstaters and suburbanites would go for that. Ostrow is spot on.

She brought science combined with good judgement and passion to an ignorant and ideologically
challenged legislature. Not just the environmentalists will miss her.
