MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.

While I agree that the crop of candidates is less than stellar, anyone that disparages a vote for an IP candidate with statements like "Tom Horner will never be Governor" has a short memory. I've got two words for you: Jesse Ventura.
Author Editor Dennis Tester says:
"I mean, does he even know which end of the rifle to aim down range? When she was commander-in-chief of Alaska's national guard and her son joined the army at about the same time, she qualified with a bleeping M-16 fer chrisakes! Can anyone imagine Obama even shooting a rifle?
But that's the way Palin talks for real. Because she's one of us, dammit. And when one of her TV ads plays the footage of her sinking two free throws to win the high...
Well, about 140 characters is all the BS I can take in one helping.
BD Maginnis says:
"Another nail in "journalism"'s coffin."
When it doesn't jive with YOUR opinion, right BD?
Brian Simon says:
"He beat DFLers here, twice, because he is very, very good at the art of selling himself to particular audiences. Pawlenty will do better in 2012 than most people expect."
Brian, he won the last election by less than a 2% margin because Mike Hatch lost his temper. Had Hutchinson not grabbed another 7%, we would not have been subjected to a second term from this man.
I thought Republicans understood the Constitution? You're either for the First Amendment, or you're not.
Dimitri, Mr. Sparber has mentioned that "bunny" was a nickname of his in his late teens. For some reason, Mr. Swift loves to use it in his posts, dripping with condescension of course.
Anyone that's ever worked on a farm knows that shoveling horse manure all day is a tough job.
John Jordan says:
"Wedge" issue: Any issue a liberal believes in that they know the public opposes them on and they don't want to talk about it."
Ahhh, I understand. It's a bit like conservatives labeling any judge that doesn't rule in their favor as an "Activist"...thanks for clearing that up.
"People with money know it"...hmmm, could you expand on that, Mr. Jordan? While you're at, I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what Kline has accomplished or is it on the same non-existent list that follows Michelle Bachmann's name?
