MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.

Just a note of clarification - This is very definitely the PRO UNION education session.
I hope we can agree on the concept of funding kids instead of "unions" and "schools."
I am pro education. I am not in favor of funding union, trickle down, big special interest, government education. It sounds to me you want to focus on funding “schools” instead of the children?
What do you have against kids? Why do you want to discriminate against kids? Let us empower kids and families instead of the "schools."
You cannot get more public than funding kids.
Once again, there will never be enough money to satisfy the education special interests.
Following the political advice of the failed 1984 presidential candidate is "courageous?"
However - having Ted Mondale show up would have been really courageous.
If Dayton signs into law a tax increase (not just the income tax) that will increase taxes on the poor and middle class - and breaks his campaign promise to just "tax the rich" - would that be considered Rude?
Or does the left consider just raising the income tax a true tax - the other taxes are just "fees.?"
Or is "tax the rich" code words meaning that Dayton will tax everyone?
Does this mean that undocumented students would receive tuition aid for attending private colleges, religious colleges, as well as State Colleges and Universities?
I would be great to have a dream act for the children! So many are trapped in the union schools with no help of being rescued. If we can fund undocumented college student to attend private colleges and religious colleges - why not allow the children, who are citizens, to have financial aid to attend private schools?
I have seen and heard K.E. act in a "rude" way. He has even interrupted people trying to ask him a question.
Minnpost decries the Tea Party’s “rude” behavior but was enamored with the rudeness of Occupy Wall Street and thinks the “glittering” of Mitt Romney is humorous.
Mr. Baines on the Mormon church - "So the lack of words against marriage equality is great"
I thought Mr. Baines believes in free speech?
Mr. Baines should rejoice that the Mormon Church is maintaining their right for free speech.
Maybe - only speech that agrees with the political agenda of Mr. Baines is considered free.
