I've always suspected the original plan for the alternative teacher licensing program was to get minorities who weren't qualified to teach on school district payrolls. When the concept shifted to include training, and licensing for teachers from other states or professionals who wanted to switch careers, the original advocates of the program lost interest.
I'll bet if the legislature approves all-day kindergarten and additional pre-school education there will be a push to waive the standards for the alternative teacher licensing program. We will be told that little children can't learn unless their teachers are the same race and ethnicity that they are. There won't be enough licensed teachers available, so school districts will need to rush to find alternative teachers. to take their places.
All of the money donated to the Decker fund should go to his kids, no adults. Whoever has custody of the kids should control the fund. It's too bad that lawyers will siphon money from the fund while adults haggle over who controls it. The kids will end up with a pittance.
Tony Robinson must have had large quantities of unsupervised time to put together a scheme involving hundreds of bogus tax returns. Supervision at the Stillwater State Prison must be very lax. It's time the bigwheels at the prison investigate their staff.
Who is saying the $20-$30 billion tax on medical devices MUST be replaced with other revenue? President Obama? Congress should remove the tax, and cut spending in Obamacare by the same amount. Better yet, Congress should throw out the monstrosity of Obamacare entirely and replace it with sensible, cost effective reform.

He is asking Christians to not over-react to a slap in the face.
Uh, Joel. Jesus was a carpenter-turned-rabbi. He was not a fisherman. However, several of his disciples were fisherman.
This is NOT a clear definition. "creating or exacerbating a power imbalance between students." If I were a teacher, principal or school board member, I would have no idea what kind of bullying this refers to.
Take the man from Watertown/Delano, for example, who had killed his mother. If he had killed his mother, why was he out of jail or a mental institution, and free in the community to stockpile 15 guns? We can reduce gun violence by enforcing laws we already have.
It might not be just the business owners who suffer from discrimination lawsuits for following their consiciences, but also people who exercise their rights to free speech or free thought. Someone who says publicly that marriage is limited to one man and one woman might be labeled a bigot and punished just for speaking. Belonging to a religious group that advocates only heterosexual marriage, even if the individual said or did nothing negative to or about gay married couples, might be enough...
