So much judging.

Addiction is a disease that needs treatment just like any other medical condition. As someone who has personal family experience, I refer to the article and Steve's own words:

"I am difficult, unpleasant and hurtful when I drink. I have pushed nearly everyone close to me away, causing them stress, anxiety and pain. My friends want to help, but can take so much before they will just give up."

First of all, really, we need to withhold food? Food? It is sad that in one of the wealthiest and prosperous countries some want to control who can have access to decent food. It is shameful.

Secondly....the poverty guidelines are gross income, not net.

It just does not seem finanically prudent to spend an insane amount of money to build a small streetcar line.

What I have never understood about this argument is that if rape pregnancies are so rare; why not just leave the exception in the purposed law then?

Posted on 05/20/13 at 12:16 pm in response to Anti-bullying bill dies in Senate

Regardless of when this bill was brought to the Senate floor, I have been searching my head, heart and soul to try and figure out what I would "filibuster" for if given the opportunity - if I was on "the other side".

All I have been able to come up with is something that attacked an individual's human dignity. Ironic considering this bill was to help protect human dignity, dignity of children who are ridiculed and bullied.

It is a shameful tactic.

Not sure how taking a gun and putting it into her chin and pulling a trigger can be described any other way than murder.

Posted on 11/16/12 at 03:35 pm in response to Minnesota House names committee chairs, completes legislative leadership

It seems that the chairs are mainly from the metro area. Is that status quo and I haven't noticed before? Wouldn't it be better to have more diversity among urban, suburban, rural and outstate?

What does Joe Mullery know about Early Childhood and Youth Development Policy? Mary Murphy and Veterans Affairs? Shouldn't committee chairs have knowledge and experience in their areas?

Do we really want to pick apart people who need food?

So, if a homosexual couple promised to not raise children and made that promise medically permanent, then it would be fine for them to get married, right?
