Insults are the first requirement of arrogance and smugness. The sequestration is about 2 percent over ten years. There is NO decrease, only a slowing of growth. We are going in the hole about 13 thousand dollars a second. Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Section 8, etc, all government programs, are broke. Medicare alone takes in one dollar for every three that are spent. If you think what's going on now is severe, wait until the economy collapses. How about understanding this...

I have noticed most of Minneapolis streets are not plowed to the curb to save money. The result is four lane streets becoming two lane streets. A fine example of foolish money management. Park avenue reduced to two lanes so bikes who pay no road taxes, can plow through the snow. When the economy collapses priorities will be forced to change. Minneapolis has the reputation of a sewer, the reason smart people are fleeing the city. Taxes go up, lifestyle goes down. Particularly sad is...

The sports fans are thugs taking money from the public and tossing it at the stadium. Ironically no one seems to detect the disgrace that this is. Not unlike the actual cost of a light rail ride per person vs what is charged. Both examples of who knows? Who cares? After the economy collapses, this will be amusing. Pity.

Critical arts institutions. They deserve money taken from people and given to others? Says who, comrade worker? Get your own money for your personal agenda you think makes your life better and leave everyone else alone with the money they worked hard to earn.

The coming financial collapse is predicted and can be prevented. The spending is immoral. Congress is immoral. The youth will pay for bills that cannot be paid. I am ashamed of anyone who does not favor a balanced budget. They are the leeches of society.

Wouldn't it be swell if the bike crowd paid for the paths they use? Naw, that would be the right thing to do. The paths are totally cool unless you have to pay for them. Pity. Let the spending continue!

Youngsters think driving is evil? Socially negative? Perhaps they would prefer the bus over their friends out cruising. Or a bicycle. Or just walk to the movie at 20 below. We know you hate cars and don't own one and you bike to work but every 16 year old on the planet prefers driving. Cars are a good thing and one of the important advances in our nation. The words large New York firm are the give away. Not much of the real world comes out of that city. New York times, Trump,...

Any opinions other than the correct and enlightened ones will not be tolerated or considered a part of the diversity in thinking we applaud. Opposition is hate. One little point of order. The gay marriage amendment is not about gay marriage. Gay marriage is illegal in Minnesota. Does this make me hate gays? Nope. Phobia means fear. I'm all for gay marriage, right after we vote on it. Perhaps the smarter than everyone crowd have just pissed off too many in their attempt to enlighten...

or maybe not. Perhaps the individual will decide for themselves. Let us not forget Equality is the enemy of Justice.

say that we have fewer employed now than on inauguration day? P.S. The government has no money but the money they take away. They cannot and will never created jobs. Only the private sector can. Any thinking the government is here to help people is just silly.
