MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
Children attending smaller schools have more opportunities to actaully "make the team" and play their chosen sport(s). I know plenty of decent athletes who did not make varsity teams (simply because of numbers) when attending high schools of 2,000 students.
Riverboat gambling...
So we can have more people stealing from their employers, bilking charitable organizations, and fleecing family members to feed their gambling addictions.
KSTP can probably make a "go" of being an all sports station, but sadly, the Twin Cities lost a good radio station. Perhaps the ratings weren't the best but their news coverage is good and their weekend personalities were appealing. I don't know why they would essentially pin their wagon to two personalities: Ruesse and Soucheray. Patrick's work ethic is unrivaled but Soucheray is off the air nearly as much as he is on. Best wishes to all who lost their jobs.
A nicely written article.
Instead of "Smooth Operator", I'd recommend Sade's "Is it a Crime?"
Mr. Yudolf is less smart than I thought him to be.
Why would one take the President job at the University of California when you know what an economic and social mess the State has become?
I think it's about ego and I have little empathy for him. I can understand leaving Minnesota to go home to Texas, but how many big universities does one need to be President of? I sense it's about ego and money and aside from his salary, the lack of latter will lead to an unpleasant stay in...
Part of the problem for KSTP-1500 is that their meal ticket is Joe Soucheray, who for some perplexing reason, seems to be gone from the air as much as he is on the air. Each time I tune in and find a substitute for Joe, I turn to the radio to KFAN.
Two points:
1. "Unfortunate" is a poor choice of words by Mr. Eric Black, considering four people are dead and four families devastated.
2. Mike Huckleberry is a second teamer and nobody cares if he runs for president.
Mr. Wilf needs to be reminded that he had a financial partner in Anoka County and Blaine. He is the one who scuttled that deal. I could care less about the Vikings. You own the team, Mr. Wilf. If you wish to leave, just leave.
WCCO blew it when they let Jennette Trompeter go. I now longer watch their newscast. Leah McLean on channel-5 is equally as charming and engaging. One might as well stick with channel-5, locally owned and not as likely to pull saw a stupid stunt. Good luck to you, Jennette.
He would get highter approval ratings if he got rid of that ridiculous beard. Seriously.
