If you have something to add to the conversation, then let's hear it.
For your convenience, I have provided an excerpt from MinnPost's Terms of Use:
"MinnPost welcomes user comments on our stories and posts. Couldn't decide between perpetuating a stereotype ("creative and inventive people") and appealing to elitism ("young professionals")?
I was hoping for a response from Todd, so I could address his comment. I find it odd that GLBT folks of greater age and lesser station in career than young professionals are considered less worthy.
Greg, your bullying behavior and trollish screed only serve to encourage me to continue to add my voice to the conversation.
P.S.: If interested in my professional creativity, my portfolio of U.S. and international design and utility patents, can be accessed online. Search on...
The books of the Torah may not be familiar to a Lutheran, but perhaps they should be. The Torah is the first five books of the Bible; Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
Any argument that can be made for homosexual marriage can be made for all alternate forms of "marriage", including polygamy. As long as all parties to the marriage consent to the structure, who are you to judge it? Once marriage is redefined to mean everything, it will mean nothing.
As Matt elude to above, most of the commentary is just what the author is talking about. One commenter went so far to claim, “NO WE ARE NOT!”, and then proceeded to prove that “yes we are” engaging in that behavior.
After reading the column, I expected some thoughtful commentary to follow. By Strom “calling the behavior”, it should challenge commenters to step up their game, or at least put a thin veneer on it. Not this crowd.

Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the nation and also one of the highest rate of gun murder.
Back to the UK. It seems our cousins in the UK are way out ahead of us; they banned and confiscated handguns in 1997. As reported in this BBC article, within a few years of the gun grab, they became gravely concerned with the included angle on the tips of kitchen knives.

Your chronology begins with an exaggeration. How many dozens are there in 20? That sounds like a 4th grade math test.
I don't know how I am able to make an argument against gun control without stating what the Brady Campaign is attempting to accomplish. You see, nearly every argument for gun control is sprinkled with the term "NRA". Sometimes, it gets invoked without any connection, like between sentences.
Who is worthy of protection by armed guards? Certainly the White...
The north side got their streets plowed curb to curb before the President arrived. They can enjoy that while it lasts.
What is the source for your definition of an assault weapon? It does not agree with the definition used by the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban; nor does it find company with Senator Dianne Feinstein's recent gun ban bill proposal. A side note regarding the latter; I just read the list of 157 firearms on Senator Feinstein's list. I didn't get far before encountering a 22 caliber rifle. The squirrels of America will owe her a debt of gratitude if she can get this bill passed and signed.
