MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
I live in the 6th District too (at the sane end), and we're not sorry, we're horrified. Another two years having our representation in Congress be mini-Palin is bad enough. But many of us worked heart and soul for the terrific candidate who gave us an alternative, Tarryl Clark, and are incredulous at her defeat. Never underestimate the ignorance, stupidity, and/or laziness of the American electorate, I guess...
Bernice (#23 & 24) - Amen to changing financial advisors. They've just continued our drive into the ditch the President is so fond of reminding us of.
And Hear, Hear! to J-Street's representation of most American Jews!
Jay, the Hennepin County Elections officials explained, and MinnPost headlined, that the temporary "glitch" in their results last night was a reporting glitch, not a tallying glitch. That is, the votes were correctly counted, but for a short time were incorrectly reported to their website and to the Secretary of State's site. The Republican Party will want to broadcast this mistake as a deliberate attempt to commit elections fraud - let's not help them do it!
Max, I'm surprised that you didn't mention MSNBC's "The Ed Show" broadcasting live from Woodbury on Halloween eve! Ed Schultz interviewed Tarryl Clark and Keith Ellison, among others. For those who missed it:
MSNBC cable TV show airs from Woodbury restaurant - 15 hours ago
Liberal talker Ed Schultz will host his MSNBC program "The Ed Show" from the American Burger Emporium Sunday evening, the restaurant co-owner said. ...
Bernice Vetsch (#15) - I think you're right.
Ditto #3, Doug. About John Kriesel, no matter how fearless this candidate is, the fact that he's received money from Karl Rove (KARL ROVE!) will pretty much discredit him from the serious voters of his district.
Fascinating! As a recovering Roman Catholic, now a member of a Unitarian Universalist congregation (and a member of Minnesota Atheists), I thoroughly enjoyed Ehrman's "Misquoting Jesus" (which we read through adult ed at my new church). Obviously I haven't been paying enough attention to my MN Atheists Newsletter, as I can't remember hearing about this book club before. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I live in Woodbury, where Target is presently building its second store. They'll be sorry. I'm not the only former customer who no longer shops at Target; Woodbury is full of us.
Wow! I saw the Dayton ad and thought it was good, but that Alliance ad is great! Why haven't I seen it? Love the final punch line!
Is TPT still planning on showing the film as originally scheduled? Does anyone know?
