There is at least one group of conservative writers who do, in fact, pine for the days of the Articles. They hang out at Chronicles magazine:

Be warned: For these guys, Lincoln was a tyrant, not a liberator.

I also like Gov. Dayton, but on this issue he's been the Platonic ideal of a rube. He was no match for the slick New York wheeler-dealer and his high-buck game of three card monty. The sad thing is, I don't doubt that the governor is genuinely surprised by this turn of events, but Ziggy knows that only suckers build with their own money.
I hope the governor and the stadium authority have some leverage, but I doubt it. I'm sure Ziggy wouldn't have let any bill come to the floor with...

Why doesn't anyone in the non-labor media call these lockouts (well, outside of the professional sports sector) what they are: class warfare.

...if during the lockout they can't bring in scabs. Otherwise, they might as well just fire everyone and get it over with.

My real question is, why is it only "class warfare" when it's the bottom 50 - 75% trying to get a bigger share of the pie, but not when the top 10 - 25% try to keep it from them?

It's only fair if workers can get "replacement jobs" - at better pay that they're currently making - during the lockout.

"Barack Obama’s statement that his opinion shifted in part because first daughters Sasha and Malia have playmates with stable, healthy same-sex parents is a perfect example."

The First Daughters no doubt have well-adjusted peers who live in homes headed by two adults of the same sex...but I feel compelled to point out that "same-sex parents" is a biological impossibility. Words have meanings; we can't just decide they mean whatever we'd like them to mean to buttress our arguments.

...Mr. Alan and others. Need I remind you that the legislation for this boondoggle was passed by outstate votes? City legislators, with two exceptions, voted "no." Don't take out your frustration on the city, which shares it.

If you want to take your business away from the real culprits, find out who voted "Yes," and vow not to spend money in their districts.

...representatives Kline, Bachmann, Cravaak (sp?) and Paulsen decrying big government's interference in the broadband market. If the private sector doesn't find it profitable to extend service to rural areas, they can just do without.

By the way, that second sentence was ironic. I strongly believe in public investment in infrastructure. But the people who are going to benefit from this keep electing people who claim they do not support such investments. Very frustrating.
