Very well-written and timely piece. It's written at the very same time that wealthy celebrities such as comedian Bill Cosby and upper class black male conservatives such as Stanley Crouch and Prof. McWhorter are blaming the lack of a father in the home and promiscuous black women for black ills in the community. This piece suggests that those explanations are too simplistic to hold water.
