MinnPost is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to provide high-quality journalism for news-intense people who care about Minnesota.
Donations and pledges totaling $25,000 or more have been made by each of the families and foundations listed. For a list of all donors by category, see our most recent Year End Report.
Why is it that for days in your column, you've referred to Mr. Tinklenberg as "El?"
It is difficult to imagine how Mr. Nelson could write an article which was more of a political diatribe and less of a review of the latest work of a man who has spun his own version of the truth too many times to count.
Further, the movie is intended to make a profit....profiting on the last eight years which it is intended to scorn?
Sorry, I'd rather rent "Wag the Dog" again.
Kathie Jenkins likes 12 restaurants. Seven of them specialize in the basic food groups of pizza, tacos or hamburgers. That's not all that's served in the Twin Cities, but it's what she gives her best marks on a regular basis. She's consistent, anyway....
Or perhaps this "Sidewalk Haiku"
Read as you walk but
You Dope! Watch out for the cars
And stop texting please
Real estate law and bankruptcy law give a real estate mortgage special treatment in bankruptcy. It should not be compared to other contracts. One reason is that a mortgage can be re-sold by the lender. This has been done for decades, well before mortgages were packaged and securitized. Coleman is right about lender uncertainty raising costs for every borrower.
Again we see parents unable to accept that their mature or adult children must take responsibility for the consequences of their own actions.
Esquire Magazine published an article, I believe in the middle 70's, about why Joe Biden would run for President and what his weaknesses were. It would be interesting if one of you journalists would dig that out and update it.
Thanks for the most clearly written, understandable and helpful comment I've seen on these sad events.
Al Franken is a big fat idiot. I think he wrote a book about that.
At least the candidate said the name of the city correctly.
