Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity's Young Professionals Network (HYPN) has a build day scheduled this Saturday, Jan. 28, and volunteers slots are still open!
Join in this day-long volunteer event in Minneapolis — break a sweat, meet new people and help out the community all at once. Bring friends!
If you are a new volunteer, use join code HYPN. After you complete registration, scroll down to the volunteer date and click the "Sign Up" button.
What to bring:
- A water bottle; water will be available throughout the day to refill
- Any snacks you would like during the day
A brief list of safety considerations:
- A sturdy work boot or shoe is recommended. Absolutely no sandals!
- We work in the sun, rain, and even snow, so dress appropriately.
- You are the final judge of the safety of a situation. If you are asked to complete a task with which you are uncomfortable (e.g. climbing a ladder, carrying a heavy load, using a tool that you are unfamiliar with), let your site supervisor know.
Please plan to stay the entire day. Specific jobs will be determined upon arrival.
Additional information will be provided in volunteer confirmation emails.
HYPN supports the work of Habitat through volunteerism, deeper engagement, and meaningful and enticing networking opportunities for members in their early 20s to early 40s.
Time: 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Date: Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012
Place: 2011 Hillside Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN 55411
