Le Méridien Chambers tour and Ice Bar party 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16
Did you know the Walker Art Center has a membership group specifically designed to involve young professionals in its multiple-disciplinary programming? It's called the Contemporaries.
For $175 a year (a two-person membership), Contemporaries enjoy all the perks of basic Walker membership, along with reciprocal benefits at more than 400 museums around the country, invitations to private special events and additional access at events like Rock the Garden.
If you haven't joined the Contemporaries, now is the perfect chance to become a part of the scene.
Next Thursday, Feb. 16, the Contemporaries is offering members the unique opportunity to tour the Burnet Art Gallery at Le Méridien Chambers with curator Jennifer Phelps.
Reservations are required for this exclusive event. To register, contact Kate Tucker at donors [at] walkerart [dot] org or 612-375-7641.
The gallery's current exhibition, A Moment Stays, features more than 20 silkscreen prints, off-set lithographs and small mixed-media paper sculptures by Minneapolis-based artist Drew Peterson.
After the tour, the Contemporaries will convene in the hotel's Ice Bar, and the first drink is on us!
This is event is free for Contemporaries members, plus one additional guest (if there is only one person listed on your membership).
